Ready For The Question?

Ok, the last time i updated this was 8th April. Its now 2nd of July that's 92 days, 2208 hours, 132480 minutes and 7948800 seconds since i last updated this blog! Lots has happened that i should have written about so i guess I'm going to forget some of it as i try sum up my last 92 days in a few hundred words.

All i ever complain about is college but I'm happy to say its nearly over, I'm 99% away from finishing my HND in music production to go along with my distinction i already have in music business to prove i have a wide knowledge of the music industry.

Since the last time i updated this i also have another music video, "Influential Entertainment - All I Hear Is (Feat. Dirty Wallz, Dan-W, Mousie & Deevo)" filmed at the Coventry Cathedral and edited by myself so let me know what you think!

I have also signed an agreement with Lava/Ignite Nightclub which is part of Luminar Leisure Limited to perform at Ignite in Coventry every Friday over the next 6 odd months. So its official Influential Entertainment can be seen every Friday in Coventry's most popular night club!

Another big show for myself & Influential this summber is the Caribbean Festival, were Influential will have an hour long set on the main stage at around 3:30pm! Saturday 25th July!. . .since the Hip-Hop tent was scraped at Godiva this year the main stage at the Caribbean Festival isn't a bad fall back.

I'm sure more has happened in all this time but right now i cant think, I'm to hot! Can't complain about the weather tho, this time last year i was on Holiday and it wasn't even this hot so i think i have saved myself some cash this year haha. I will try update this more for my few loyal veiwers but right now thats your lot! I will leave you with this photo, dont know why. . .

Time Is Money!

Has it really been a month since my last update? I guess it has. . . last time round i was doing what i do best and bitching about my life but things are getting better, slowly but surely.

First things first, I'm still broke and i still haven't started my college work, NOT GOOD!

Secondly the music is still always getting better, Influentials first video is OFFICIALLY here now, if you think it looks low budget you will be right, as it was! So please don't point out of the obvious to me, i do have eyes and i can see the videos negatives just as much as the positives (if any) but hey! each is there own, you can like it or hate it, your call! Its all about the music anyways the song is a HIT we just need someone with money to back the single then its easy top 40! ha ha

Influential Entertainment - Shes Invisible (Official Promo Music Video)

Thirdly a few of the Influential team when down to the second most expensive studios in London to record with a producer called Steve Dub, who has produced tracks and sold thousands with the Chemical Brothers. We recorded a few tracks in the two days we had, was a good laugh but also was good to be in the studio atmosphere making music. We came away with a few beats (a few hits for the future) and some more studio experience.

Fourthly i also had a trip to Nottingham for a much needed night out, witch as expected a club decided i looked too casual!!! Even though for the first night ever i didn't wear trainers! I got in the club in the end, once i told them who i was (ha ha) but it did just make me laugh as bouncers always think i look to chavy, even though I'm yet to see a chav for myself with as much class and taste as me.

Fifthly (<- did i make that word up?) Influential might have there first gig in London next weekend but we might not, so i will let you know more details as i know them myself.

Here's some photos from the LDN trip to the Studio. . .

Patiently Waiting

Right now, this very second I have mixed feelings about alot of things! I have too much college work to do and not enough free time. I don't have a regular income right now so there are moths flying out my wallet and bank account, not a good look!

Saying that my record label is on the up, with a brand new mixtape and our first official music video on the way I'm feeling good. I'm also getting offered work and new projects that wanna get involved with what Influential are doing so the future's bright, the futures Influential not orange. I'm trying to sort out a new website for us to give us a 2009 upgrade to keep up with everyone else, I know most people only go on MySpace but if we have another site it will make us look more professional then just having a classy MySpace page.

...its just a matter of time, good things come to those who wait!

My iPod Top 10

1. Tinchy Stryder - Take Me Back (Feat. Taio Cruz)
I know its one of them tunes the Chav's have killed with it being played on the back of every bus. I still cant help but like it the beat is insane and Taio Cruz's hook sounds so nice and catchy. Not normally a massive fan of Tinchy but he got it right with his collaboration.
2. Sway - Silver & Gold (Feat. Akon)
A massive fan of Sway but he switched it up for this commercial track with his new boss Akon.
3. Eminem - Crack A Bottle! (Ft. Dr. Dre & 50 Cent)
When i first got into hip-hop growing up you cant avoid these three names, the tracks not the best track in the world but Eminem ghost writes for Dre and its good to hear him back and sounding so good.
4. The Game - Camera Phone (Ft. Ne-Yo)

Ne-Yo is a genius us when it comes to making a rapper a commercial success, just a nice hip-hop/R&B blend.
5. T.I. - Dead and Gone (Feat. Justin Timberlake)
You cant help but agree Timberlake always sounds so good over a Timberland beat, i just look the hook on this.
6. Jamie Foxx - Digital Girl (Feat. The Dream & Kanye West)

Can i just say Kanye West is a legend in the game his verse is so good! The Dream and Foxx sound so nice together as well.
7. Roll Deep - Moving In Circles
Been listening to these boys for so long, this one reminds me of 'Shake A Leg' defo gone for the same feel good vibe.
8. Chipmunk - Beast (Ft. Loick Essien)
I didn't believe the hype around Chipmunk at first but the hook and the production on this track is so good.
9. Skepta - Sunglasses At Night
Skepta's turn to make a eletro/bassline commercial track and it sounds good to be fair.
10. Lady GaGa - Just Dance
I wouldn't listen to this at first then when i did i couldn't help but like. I like her retro take on eletro pop, sounds nice.

Video Killed The Radio Star

If you didn't already know then last week i filmed my first music video with my Influential team to a very good song may i add. Its in editing right now so i haven't even seen how it looks or anything, i should get it back next week! Just thought i would say a few things on my mind before it goes out to the public. . .

I have been doing music now for a while and i have done everything i can think of at this level. I have organized over 30 plus shows in the last 2 years raised nearly a grand for charity and got myself in the news paper and on the radio (not mentioning all the different websites I'm on as well) so i felt like a music video the next best promotion thing to do. Now I love the commercial side of Hip-Hop and R&B and so do alot of other people that's why its so successful so for our first video we wanted a typical generic music video just to say 'look were just as good as you' type thing, its a club track so i cant imagine anything different for the video anyway. At the same time i don't wanna come across looking like a dickhead in the video, i don't want people to see it and think 'who the f**k does he think he is' As that's what i do when i see semi pro videos on Channel U. I was just having fun filming my first professorial music video, it was a good feeling.

So I'm just telling the world now in my own words the video was alot of fun to film and i don't regret doing anything, its all trial and error so lets see how this turns out then we know what to do and what not to do next time round, i think to a fan of commercial Hip-Hop this video will be just as good if not better then shit you see on TV as the song is FIREEEE! haha.

Here's a few photos from the filming, I'll show you the video as soon as its done....

Here we go again...

Let me start of by saying I didn't expect to be doing one of these again but here I'am, not to sure what I will use this for yet. It might end up here for my own reflection as I normal forget what I have been doing the week before. I'm sure someone will read it, most probably my girlfriend but at least someone will be reading it. . . .

I guess I will add what ever is on my mind when it comes to writing it, so lets find out shall we!
